ICOM MUSIC Annual Meeting 2026: Change of venue to St Cecilia’s Hall, Edinburgh & Extended Call for Papers Call for papers, Conference
Dear ICOM MUSIC members and community,
We are sorry to have to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances, the ICOM MUSIC Annual Meeting 2026 on 3–5 September will not be taking place in Tbilisi, Georgia as planned.
The meeting will now be taking place at St Cecilia’s Hall, The University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, UK.
We apologise for this unforeseen and inconvenient situation and hope that you will all be ready for shifting our Annual Meeting 2026 to St Cecilia’s Hall in Edinburgh.
The ICOM MUSIC Board extends our warm thank you and gratitude to the management and the colleagues at St Cecilia’s Hall for inviting us at a very short notice and for hosting our ICOM MUSIC Annual Meeting 2026.
The conference days will remain 3–5 September 2026 and the conference topic will stay the same. The conference will remain hybrid, and so you can present and attend on-site or online.
We hope that those of you who already submitted proposals will hold on to your proposals – and we encourage further proposals to be submitted by the extended Call for Papers deadline on Sunday, 31 May 2026 (23:59 CEST).
Please, see the Call for Papers (attached) and submit your proposal via email to Sarah.Deters@ed.ac.uk.
If you submitted your proposal and did not receive confirmation of receipt, please contact Sarah.Deters@ed.ac.uk.
Again, due to the technical problems with ICOM MUSIC’s website, we kindly ask for your help to share this update and Call for Papers extension with your networks and on social mediDear ICOM MUSIC members and community,
We will be launching a Call for Travel Grants for young members this week.
Sincerely, on behalf of the ICOM MUSIC Board,
Marie
